Street art in Berlin

Something that differs between the US and Germany (or at least the places I've visited in both) is how graffiti is regarded. In the US, it is seen as a nuiscence and nearly always removed as soon as possible if visible from the street. In some neighborhoods in Hamburg like Sternchanze and Altona (the young, fun neighborhoods) its a sign of a vibrant and young community.

In Berlin, especially East Berlin, there was a lot of graffiti, but also street art (as opposed to simply tagging - scrawling a name or initials).

I'm not sure if this really counts as street art as it was probably commisioned since it's in a train station, but it shows how prevalent this style of art is here:
